Morning sprinkles, sunny rest of the week

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — This morning we have some lingering showers across the area, which will continue through the morning commute. Temperatures are currently in the mid 60s, which is a nice improvement from yesterday. Most locations are running about 5 to 8 degrees cooler.

The good news is we’re not expecting any thunderstorms today, and the rain won’t stick around all day. By lunchtime, skies will remain mostly cloudy, but most of us should be drying out. Rain chances quickly diminish through the afternoon.

A cold front moves through tonight, bringing even cooler air into the region. Some locations will be as much as 10 degrees cooler tomorrow. Overnight lows will drop into the mid to upper 50s inland, while beach communities settle into the lower 60s. Those temperatures are right where they should be for early October…
