A North Myrtle Beach businessman and his friend are apparently under a state grand jury investigation regarding their actions in the shooting death of a North Carolina man three years ago.
Weldon Boyd and Kenneth “Bradley” Williams filed a joint motion Thursday asking for a stay in a civil wrongful death suit filed by Jennifer Foley, the sister of Scott Spivey. The 33-year-old Tabor City man was shot and killed by Boyd and Williams after a road rage incident on Sept. 9, 2023, in Horry County.
If granted, the motion would delay the civil action until it is determined whether criminal charges will be brought against either defendant, the filing said…
