Assailants in ski masks rob victims near Coastal Carolina University campus, police say

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two people clad in ski masks robbed their victims Friday night near off-campus housing for Coastal Carolina University students on Friday night, Horry County police said.

The suspects armed with handguns approached two people who were waiting for another friend at a Carolina Road apartment complex swimming pool at about 9:30 p.m., according to an Horry County Police Department report. Carolina Road is about 1.5 miles from CCU.

The suspects demanded an undisclosed amount of money and belongings, the report said. One person was arrested and transported to the state Department of Juvenile Justice.
