I’ve noticed that House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC ticket prices have significantly increased lately, particularly for the reserved and upgraded seats. The rising cost has become quite expensive, leaving me wondering if it’s just my perception or an actual trend at all house of blues venues.
I rememer only a few years ago paying $50 for reserved seating upstairs for a rock concert. Now they want $100 to $500 a ticket depending on who’s playing. I also remember upgrading my general admission tickets to a private four person table for only $100 more. Now they are asking at least $500 more to upgrade to a table.
I understand the need to raise prices to help make up for Covid shutdown losses but this seems like crazy increases. What are your thoughts?
