3 Longs-area homes hit in apparent drive-by shootings, report says

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Three homes and at least three vehicles in the Longs area were hit by gunfire Saturday night in apparent drive-by shootings, according to Horry County police reports.

Investigators were called to the area at about 9 p.m. and over about 45 minutes found that three homes had been hit, two on Geranium Road and one on Long Acres Drive. There were people in all of the homes when the shooting occurred.

One of the victims told officers that a bullet went through his front window directly behind a chair where he normally sits, the report said. Officers recovered numerous shell casings from the areas around each home.

Police were not able to immediately identify any suspects, the report said.
