Patricia Moore was on the verge of living in her car with her two preteen daughters when she found out about the North Strand Housing Shelter. Moore and her daughters moved in with some relatives when she originally moved to South Carolina from Maryland. But then she said she had to move out on short notice and felt pressured to find a new place. She wasn’t having any luck finding a new place, so she called the North Strand Housing Shelter.
