CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) – On Monday, Conway city leaders solidified that the days are numbered for the old Whittemore School structure along Horry Street near Highway 378. Council’s vote came at the recommendation of the Whittemore Task Force who met in late January and voted on it. Task Force members had said that tearing the entire building down was the best option given the concerns over mold and asbestos.
