March opening planned for Tiger Woods-backed golf attraction at Broadway at the Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A Tiger Woods-backed attraction boasting a 36-hole miniature golf course and indoor playground is slated to open in just a few weeks at Broadway at the Beach.

PopStroke officials told News13 on Tuesday the venue is expected to welcome guests in March.

The company last spring announced expansion plans into 13 cities, with a Myrtle Beach location expected to open in the first quarter of this year. It marks the company’s first South Carolina venture.

Founded in 2019, PopStroke facilities include two 18-hole putting courses created with guidance from Tiger Woods and his TGR Design team.

“We are seeing huge consumer demand to bring our immersive experience into new cities. PopStroke was created to bring people together across all ages and skill levels through the game of golf. We are thrilled to expand our reach and share the PopStroke experience with new guests,” PopStroke founder and CEO Greg Bartoli said in a news release.

Documents presented to Myrtle Beach’s community appearance board last February show plans for a 10,930-square-foot building with 3,550 additional square feet for a playground at 1187 Celebrity Circle.
