A plea to halt a rezoning request on Socastee Boulevard fell on deaf ears with the Horry County Planning Commission last Thursday. Residents from the Stonebridge community in Socastee asked the commission to deny a request to rezone a property from residential to convenience and auto-related services because of ongoing flooding issues in their neighborhood.
