13 face gambling charges in Horry County, SLED says

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Thirteen people are facing gambling charges in Horry County after their arrest in January, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

Justin James Brown, 36, who authorities said was the host of the home in Myrtle Beach used for illegal gambling, and Nicholas J. Marsico, 45, were both charged with gambling.

Matthew Jason Gough, 37, faces a misdemeanor gambling charge, along with charges of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to SLED.

SLED documents also showed that Gough admitted to having more than two grams of fentanyl and cocaine that was found by authorities when they searched the residence.

Brown, Marsico, and Gough were booked at the J. Ruben Long Detention Center.

10 other people face misdemeanor charges for gambling, according to SLED. They are:

  • Mathew Jason Gough, 37
