2 jailed on murder charges in December shooting death of 34-year-old Loris man

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Two men are in jail in Horry County accused of shooting and killing a 34-year-old Loris man during a planned robbery in December.

Sean Louis Page, 24, and Franklin Donte Lemar Vereen-Price, 25, allegedly killed Ron Dale Riggins on Dec. 15 at a home on Kingcrest Drive , according to Horry County police records. Page was arrested on Dec. 27 and Vereen-Price on Jan. 18.

Police were called to the home at about 11:20 p.m. and found Riggins dead inside the home. He had been shot several times, according to arrest warrants.

During the investigation, officers found a phone in the home that belonged to Vereen-Price, according to an Horry County police report. Information on the phone indicated that the two men had planned a robbery at the home.

A witness told police that Vereen-Price had been at the home and fled after the shooting, the report said. Information found on Page’s phone records also indicated that he had been at the home and fled after the shooting.
