Myrtle Beach sports memorabilia show draws nationwide crowd, coveted collectibles

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)– Visitors from all over the country traveled to Myrtle Beach to attend a sports card an memorabilia show.

The two-day event wrapped up Saturday at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center

There were dozens of vendors and hundreds of enthusiasts, checking out a range of collectibles and trading cards.

News 13 spoke with a few travelers, that stopped by the show, both said they started collecting cards as a fun, father-son hobby.

“It’s so cool there is so much expensive cards and there are so many nice people here. You can just walk up to someone and ask them how much they want for it, make a deal and trade,” said Grayson Davis from North Carolina. “It’s pretty fun, it’s a cool place.”

Traveling from Los Angeles, Justin Escalona said it was his first time to the beach, and he goes all around the country selling and trading cards.

“The show has actually been really cool. It is a smaller venue but everyone is so friendly here in Myrtle Beach, I love it, ” he said.

Escalona’s next stop is a show in New York..
