Anchor Alexis King joins News13 morning team

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — News13 viewers will notice a new face in the mornings as veteran journalist Alexis Kings joins the team as a co-anchor.

Alexis comes to Myrtle Beach from Savannah, Georgia, where she worked at Nexstar-owned WSAV. Alexis has spent more than two decades working in the news industry.

She began her career in Aspen, Colorado, working as an editorial assistant for journalist and author Hunter S. Thompson. She also anchored a weekly news program and provided ski reports while in Colorado.

Alexis has also worked in Terre Haute, Indiana, as a weekend anchor at WACH in Columbia, South Carolina, and as a nightly producer and anchor at WDSI in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
