Man run over, killed by his own car in North Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A man was run over and killed by his own vehicle on Monday in North Myrtle Beach, according to police.

North Myrtle Beach police and fire units responded at about 12:05 p.m. on Monday for a possible fatal collision involving a pedestrian, police said.

When they arrived, they learned a man was driving his vehicle on Sea Mountain Highway near Spring Street when it became disabled.

67-year-old man shot in Greensboro; in critical, life-threatening condition

The man then got out of the vehicle and walked to the front of it when it started moving forward and ran him over, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
