Bucksport community meets about flooding impacts; shelter to open Thursday

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The Pee Dee River in Bucksport is expected to hit major flood stage at 21.5 feet over the next few days, and neighbors are feeling the impacts. A spokesperson for Horry County said staff went out to Bucksport on Wednesday and handed out flyers about the efforts to mitigate the flooding and also shelter information if neighbors must evacuate from their homes.
