MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A North Carolina man is facing weapons charges after allegedly pointing a gun at two Myrtle Beach ice cream employees because they wouldn’t give him a refund, according to arrest warrants obtained by News13.
Joshua Rodger Kim, 36, of Greensboro, was charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm at a person, unlawful conduct toward a child and first-offense possession of cocaine.
He remains in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center where he was booked Thursday on bonds totaling more than $750,000.
Myrtle Beach police responded just after 11 p.m. last Wednesday to an ice cream shop for a weapons violation, arrest warrants show.
When they arrived, one of the victims told them that Kim entered the store and argued with him and another victim over returning candy.
When Kim was told they couldn’t give him a refund, he allegedly pulled out a gun from his waist and threatened to shoot the employees, according to the warrant.
