Suspect accused of stabbing man sitting on couch at Myrtle Beach-area apartment complex

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach man was charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing another man multiple times from behind, according to Horry County police records obtained by News13.

Nikolay Thomas Palmer, 23, was charged with attempted murder. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center just after noon on Monday where he remains in jail on a $50,000 bond.

Police responded to Riverwalk Drive in the Myrtle Beach area at about 12:15 a.m. on Monday for a stabbing, according to an incident report. The victim was located with stab wounds on his neck.

The man told officers he was on the couch when Palmer attacked him from behind with a large knife, according to the report. He then ran out of the apartment and to a neighbor’s apartment to call 911.

The victim was taken to an area hospital to be treated, the report said. His condition was not immediately available.
