1 hurt in Aynor-area crash, Horry County Fire Rescue says; utility pole damaged

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash involving a utility pole in the Aynor area, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

It happened along Highway 319 near Bill Jones Road, HCFR said. Traffic in the area is expected to be blocked for an extended period of time.

Crews responded at 6:41 p.m. Utility crews are working to repair the damaged pole and lines.

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety is investigating. Horry County police are assisting.
