Man accused of firing multiple rounds at group of people in Conway

CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 22-year-old South Carolina man is facing several attempted murder charges after allegedly firing multiple rounds toward a group of people in Conway, according to police records obtained by News13.

Jayden Henry Brown of Columbia was charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime and five counts of attempted murder. He remains in jail at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center where he was booked Thursday evening. His bond has not been set.

Conway police responded on Aug. 15 to Austin Avenue for a shots fired call, according to an incident report. Brown is accused of approaching a group of people with a handgun and firing multiple rounds at them.

The police records do not indicate if there were any injuries.
