Weather whiplash: Horry County farmers persevere after no rain turns into too much rain

That sweet, sweet tobacco-curing smell fills the air as every single one of the 32 tobacco barns on Brown’s Farms were full of harvested leaves on a Friday morning. Though the farm’s workers are trying to get the tobacco out of the fields as fast as possible, they were focused on gathering corn on this particular day because all the curing barns were full of tobacco.
