Dog, bicycle restrictions on Myrtle Beach’s public shores loosening for season

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Myrtle Beach is changing rules around when dogs, bicycles, tents and canopies are allowed on the city’s sands.

Starting Tuesday, dogs and bicycles are allowed on the beach at any hour, but animals must be on a leash and droppings properly disposed of.

Restricted hours for dogs and bicycles will resume on May 1. Tents and canopies are allowed on the beach in line with or behind the established umbrella line until Memorial Day.
