Community unites through gospel music, praise at annual Myrtle Beach festival

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — One of the nation’s biggest gospel festivals returned to the shores of Myrtle Beach this weekend, drawing thousands for a dose of fellowship and spiritual renewal.

“An honor just to see the diversity of people that are coming to worship the name of our Lord. It’s a blessing that we can unite as one, praise as one and worship as one,” said Michael Woodard, bishop of True way Holiness Church of Jesus Christ.

The free event, now in its sixth year, and sponsored by News13, ran Friday and Saturday at the Burroughs and Chapin pavilion in downtown Myrtle Beach.
