Myrtle Beach woman among 3 accused of stealing thousands in SNAP benefits, authorities say

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WBTW) — Three South Carolina women, including one from Myrtle Beach, have been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program fraud, according to the state Department of Social Services.

Robyn Davis, 45, of Myrtle Beach, Sasha Price, 36, of Dillion County, and Erin Barber, 48, of Greenwood County, fraudulently received SNAP benefits, DSS said. The three cases are unrelated.

Davis was also charged with forgery. According to arrest warrants, she submitted seven SNAP application forms between Aug. 1, 2019 and July 31, 2022, with eight fraudulent paystubs, indicating she received $2,310 per paycheck.

She also allegedly received additional commissions from her employer that she did not report. The pay discrepancy resulted in an overpayment of $15,816 in SNAP benefits.

Price was charged after submitting three SNAP application forms from Dec. 1, 2021 to Nov. 31, 2022 that claimed her biological son was a household member, according to warrants provided to News13 by DSS. During this time, he was not in her legal or physical custody. This resulted in Price receiving an overpayment of $10,217 in SNAP benefits.
