Virginia vs Coastal Carolina Prediction, Game Preview, and Betting Lines

It hasn’t been smooth, but Coastal Carolina has very, very quietly started 3-0.

That’s because it hasn’t played anyone great – Jacksonville, William & Mary, and Temple – but it’s off to a good start with Sun Belt play against Old Dominion coming up.

Virginia started 2-0 helped by a nice ACC win over Wake Forest, but it couldn’t get going against Maryland in a 27-13 loss. The ACC schedule ahead is nasty – it’ll take something big to get to six wins and a bowl game if it can’t pull off a win here.

The passing game is nowhere near as sharp as it was with Grayson McCall running it.

He left for NC State – and has been just okay – and Ethan Vasko has only connected on 56% of his passes for an O that started strong, but relies a bit too much on the running game.

Meanwhile, the Virginia offense found something with the passing game. Antony Colandrea threw four picks in the first three games, but he’s averaging just over 300 yards per outing and is making things happen down the field. But …
