GARDEN CITY, S.C. (WBTW) — Neighboring restaurants in Garden City are closing their doors at the beginning of December, but a new restaurant will open on the property.
The owners of Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom and Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin posted recently on Facebook about the closings. According to Old Chicago Pizza manager Ryan MacDonald, both locations will close their doors on Dec. 1.
MacDonald said a new restaurant, the Bohemian Bull Tavern and Beer Garden, is set to replace Old Chicago. Derek Renckert, a partner in the Bohemian Bull franchise, said the owners hope to have it open as soon as February or March.
He also said new owners have interviewed “a lot” of Old Chicago’s employees.
“Part of Bohemian Bull’s culture is to create a safe and family-like working environment for all staff,” Renckert said.”We welcome any and all employees to stay and work for Bohemian Bull.”
Renckert said he has heard that Flapjack’s property will be converted into a rental property or real estate office.
