Longs-area home ‘heavily damaged’ in fire; no injuries reported

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — No injuries were reported after a Longs-area house was heavily damaged in a fire Thursday, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

It happened in the 200 block of Bear Grass Road, HCFR said. Crews responded at 11:36 a.m. and have the incident under control.

Two displaced residents will be assisted by the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Horry County police are assisting.
