HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A person was killed Saturday morning outside of North Myrtle Beach after their vehicle ran off the road in an attempt to evade law enforcement, authorities said.
It happened about 12:30 a.m. on Highway 90 near Princeton Drive, about three miles outside of the city, South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover said.
The person — whose identity was not immediately released — struck a tree after veering off the right side of the road while traveling eastbound, Glover said.
The incident remains under investigation.
