Man jailed in deadly Little River hit-and-run

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly Horry County hit-and-run last month , according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

John Francis Seltzer, 61, was charged with hit-and-run involving death. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Monday afternoon, where he remains in jail as of this writing on a $250,000 bond.

The incident happened on Nov. 25 along Highway 17 near Mica Avenue in Little River, Lance Cpl. Lena Butler said. Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded at 8:46 a.m.

The victim’s name was not immediately available. News13 has reached out to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
