Horry County woman accused of kicking officer in groin, threatening to run them over

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 21-year-old woman is facing nearly a dozen charges after allegedly hitting a person’s vehicle with her own and telling a uniformed officer “I’m going to run you over with my car” and “beat you up until you die,” according to police records obtained by NewsNation affiliate News13.

Taylor Marie Rowell of Galivants Ferry faces a slew of charges including assaulting a police officer serving process, malicious injury to personal property of more than $2,000 but less than $10,000 and two counts of threatening the life of a public employee. She was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Christmas Eve and released Thursday.

Horry County police responded Monday night to a home off Gary Road in the Conway area for a suspect intentionally hitting a parked vehicle, an incident report shows. While en route, officers learned Rowell crashed her vehicle in a ditch up the road. They had prior knowledge of Rowell and knew her driver’s license was suspended.
