CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — Coastal Carolina University in March will honor former chief of staff Travis Overton with a public celebration of life.
Overton, 42, died on Dec. 31. He joined CCU in 2007 and most recently served as its vice president for executive initiatives.
A viewing is set from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 17 at New Generation Funeral Home in Antioch, Tenn., with an 11 a.m. viewing and then noon funeral planned on Jan. 18 at Bethesda Original Church of God in Nashville.
CCU will hold an on-campus remembrance March 2, which would have been Overton’s 43rd birthday. It’s scheduled for 3 p.m. at Wheelwright Auditorium.
