MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) — After a local school resource officer was fired for his conduct, parents in Mount Pleasant are expressing concerns about how it all happened.
A police report says that a package delivered to the former officer Andrew Rowell tested positive for drugs. Documents from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy show a citizen reported the suspicious package. The package contained a white powder substance that officials say tested positive for cocaine. The report says a clear envelope with the powder was found inside Rowell’s emergency vehicle last Friday. The report says Rowell denied knowing anything about the drugs.
