Warrant reveals how police caught man suspected of making bomb threat at MYR

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Newly obtained documents are revealing how Horry County police caught the man suspected of calling in a bomb threat at the Myrtle Beach International Airport.

The Horry County Police Department arrested 35-year-old Christopher Newman in connection to a Jan. 26 bomb threat called into the airport that turned out to be a hoax.

An arrest warrant for Newman, which WMBF News received on Friday, states the number used in the threat belonged to an app and was traced to Newman’s Apple account.

Newman was also seen at the B terminal going into a stairwell at the time of the call and then returning when the call finished, according to the warrant…
