Single-engine plane crashes at Grand Strand Airport, FAA says; 1 treated for minor injury

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — One person was treated for a minor injury after a small plane crashed at Grand Strand Airport Thursday morning in North Myrtle Beach, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

A Cirrus SR22 crashed at about 11:45 a.m., the FAA said. Only the pilot was onboard. FAA data shows the plane is a fixed wing single-engine and registered out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

The plane took off from Concord-Padgett Regional Airport in Concord, North Carolina, at 10:51 a.m. and arrived at Grand Strand Airport at 11:41 a.m., data from FlightAware shows . It is registered to SOAR47 LLC…
