MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Happy Sunday everyone! We are waking up to mostly cloudy skies this morning. Happy Daylight Saving Time day! Sunset tonight will be 7:18 pm. Today’s weather will be very different from yesterdays nice and warm day. We made it to 80 in Myrtle Beach. Today we barely made it out of the mid 50s. Today we will see some light showers possible but this evening into Monday heavier rain is on the way.
REMEMBER WE HAVE A BURN BAN FOR HORRY COUNTY. NO BURNING!! As we go throughout the day on Sunday we stand the chance to see some showers in the area., the best time will be the morning hours. A brief break Sunday afternoon, before more rain and heavier rain moves in Sunday night into Monday.
Low pressure will develop off of our coast and will bring a nice soaking rainfall to the area for Monday. This will help with fire fighting efforts in the Carolina Forest area, but will also give us some much needed rain, as a lot of us are in a severe drought. An isolated thunderstorm will be possible Monday, mainly near our coastal areas. It will be a little cooler with temperatures mainly in the 50s, a few locations could sneak into the low 60s. Models are showing we could get a nice soaking rain, with between 1-2″ of rain possible…
