Update on Myrtle Beach fire

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WSPA) – The South Carolina Forestry Commission (SCFC) released an update on the fire that has burned more than 2,000 acres.

As of today, the fire is reported to be 55% contained. Crews are continuing to monitor the area, working with the National Guard to target hot spots and patrol the perimeter.

Authorities warn that, due to smoke affecting air quality, people who are sensitive should consider reducing outdoor activity during this time…
