MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A man was recently jailed after allegedly opening fire in the room of a resort in Myrtle Beach.
Records show Shane Cook was arrested on March 6 and charged with unlawful use of a firearm, possession of cocaine, discharging a firearm in city limits and public intoxication.
A police report states the incident happened on March 6, when officers from the Myrtle Beach Police Department were called to 6804 North Ocean Boulevard. An online search matches the address to the Monterey Bay Suites resort.
A manager reportedly told police they received several calls about gunshots, while several people staying there told officers they heard 5-8 gunshots directly above them…
