Deputies: Myrtle Beach man arrested in N.C. after over 4 pounds of cocaine found

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) – A Myrtle Beach man is behind bars just over the state line, according to authorities.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said 48-year-old James Watson was arrested and faces drug-related charges including trafficking cocaine and maintaining a place for controlled substances.

Deputies said around 4.3 pounds of cocaine, plastic bags used for packaging drugs and $25,000 in cash were all found when Watson was arrested.

Records show Watson was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Center on Tuesday and remains there as of Wednesday afternoon…
