On March 12, 2025, Trader Joe’s announced the recall of over 60,000 bottles of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water. The product safety notification came after the supplier, Germany-based Gerolsteiner, notified the store that certain lot codes of the glass bottles may have the potential to be cracked or damaged, leading to laceration hazard.
According to Trader Joe’s, “the issue was identified by research related to bottle breakage during production and potentially affects 1 percent of bottles in the lot codes [below].”
How to Identify the Recalled Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water Bottles
The affected lot codes, listed on the lower part of the white, blue, and red label, are as follows:
- 2024/28/11 24 2027/19/12
- 2024/271/11 24 2027/18/12
