4 recognized for ‘courageous actions’ during 2-alarm North Myrtle Beach house fire

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – Four people, including a North Myrtle Beach city councilman, received awards for the heroic actions during two-alarm house fire.

Shannon Walker, Zach Walker, North Myrtle Beach City Councilman Trey Skidmore and Nick Hughes were awarded the Citizens Award of Valor during the city council meeting on Monday night.

All four were recognized for helping to save a couple and their dog when a fire broke out in January along Tarpon Pond Road in the Charleston Landing area…
