MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — It’s been a busy few weeks at MAKO Express, a car wash located off Kings Highway near Market Common.
Co-owner Chris Daniels said vehicles have been lining up almost non-stop thanks to a major pollen uptick that’s left thick paste stuck on windshields and sides. Crews use a high-pressure water gun to blast away the annoyance.
“By the time they’re done going through, it seems like the pollen’s coming back a few hours later,” Daniels said. “We’ve been between 45 and 60 cars an hour, which is the highest volume we’ve ever seen here at this site.”…
