Horry County animal shelter building new facility over dog-hoarding cases

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An Horry County animal shelter says local dog hoarding cases are so bad, it’s forcing them to build a new shelter.

Kind Keeper Animal Shelter recently broke ground on a new facility because they say the current one is almost always at capacity. Part of the reason is because a lack of spayed and neutered dogs and dog hoarding.
