Strong storms possible Monday

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Happy Saturday evening everyone! I hope you all had a great day. It was a nice day out. High level clouds keep the blue skies away, but temperatures rose into the low 70s along the coast. Upper 70s and 80 inland. Tonight we will see those clouds stick around. Places like Hartsville, Darlington, Lamar, Bennettsville, Cheraw, and Laurinburg. That activity dies out by evening.

Monday we have a level 2 risk of severe weather for the entire forecast area, including the Grand Strand, and Pee Dee. The line of storms looks to push through the area after 2 pm. Primary timing in the Pee Dee and border belt will be 3-5 pm. Along the Grand Strand it will be 5-7 pm. Damaging winds, and large hail are the primary concerns. An isolated tornado, can’t be ruled out. After that, we cool off on Tuesday, back to around 70…
