Man pleads guilty to killing West Virginia man in Myrtle Beach for family vacation

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A judge sentenced a man to two decades in prison for a shooting that killed a man in Myrtle Beach for a family vacation.

Quentin Jean, 38, of Loris, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter on March 13 in connection to the shooting, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

The judge sentenced Jean to 20 years in prison as part of a negotiated plea on Monday. The voluntary manslaughter charge carries a sentence of two to 30 years in prison, the solicitor’s office said.
