Man pointed rifle at, chased person in Cherry Grove area, police say

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A North Myrtle Beach man was arrested on Friday after he was deemed “armed and combative” in an incident near Cherry Grove, according to the Horry County Police Department .

Jesse Lee McDaniel, 28, was charged with pointing and presenting firearms at a person. He is being held in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.

According to an arrest warrant, McDaniel confronted the victim with a rifle in hand on Church View Lane in the Cherry Grove area. He then chased the victim on foot while pointing the gun at them…
