Man pleads guilty to drug, gun charges after Myrtle Beach traffic stop arrest

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man is heading to prison on drug and gun charges stemming from a Myrtle Beach traffic stop.

Lawrence Grant, 36, of North Myrtle Beach, pleaded guilty on Monday to third-offense possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of narcotics charges, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Grant already had two prior narcotics convictions on his record in the last ten years, making this a third offense, the solicitor’s office explained.
