The South Carolina Forestry Commission’s burn ban has been lifted in Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg and Horry Counties. That has effectively canceled the statewide Red Flag order.
The ban was lifted for the state’s other 41 counties on Monday. As of late Wednesday, the Table Rock Wildfire Complex had burned more than 13,000 acres, including over 600 acres in Western North Carolina. Containment was at nearly 70% as of late Wednesday.
