MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – We had a warm Saturday across the area. Temperatures warmed into the upper 70s along the Grand Strand. In the Pee Dee temperatures ranged from the mid to upper 80s. Tonight another warm and mild evening. Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s, close to 70.
Sunday will be another hot and humid day across the area. We will once again see temperatures warm to around 80 along the Grand Strand. The Pee Dee will make a run at the upper 80s. It will be humid and breezy as well. As we get into the late afternoon hours, we will see clouds start to increase as our next storm system moves into the area. We will see showers and thunderstorms develop after midnight.
Monday, temperatures will be in the upper 70s, but widespread rain and thunderstorms will be around the area. We could see the potential for an isolated strong to severe storm. Currently the area is under a marginal (level 1 of 5) threat. We also have the chance to see some heavy rain across the area. Much needed rain for our area.
