MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — News13 and the Federal Communications Commission are asking people to support local TV news as part of a new initiative.
The initiative, called “Delete, Delete, Delete,” seeks public input in rethinking some of the FCC’s regulations, asking viewers to weigh in on regulations that should be revised — or eliminated altogether.
“For too long, administrative agencies have added new regulatory requirements in excess of their authority or kept lawful regulations in place long after their shelf life had expired,” FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said. “The FCC is committed to ending all of the rules and regulations that are no longer necessary. And we welcome the public’s participation and feedback throughout this process.”…
