More details have now surfaced concerning Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright taking a leave of absence. Shortly after he announced the leave ,reports surfaced that Wright was under FBI investigation.
The Post and Courier reports that the three former deputies told then they were interviewed by FBI agents. The newspaper says the questioning surrounded around Wright’s usage of prescription pain pill usage and his misuse of county funding.
