A Freightliner tanker truck struck and killed a pedestrian Thursday along U.S. 501.
The truck was driving south on U.S. 501 at about 5:50 a.m. ,while the pedestrian was on the roadway, said Cpl. Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The truck hit the pedestrian near Legends Drive in the Carolina Forest area.
The pedestrian died on scene. The truck driver was not injured…
